Mr Kennedy LIU Tat-yin holds an MBA degree from University of Warwick in the UK and is a Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong. He is a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers(one of the global ‘big 4’ audit and accountancy firms) and leads the firm's Capital Market Services Group in China. He is widely respected by the business community for his expertise and experience in Initial Public Offerings and other capital market matters. His contribution to his profession is aptly reflected by the awards he has received over the years, including being selected by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants as the “Young Accountant of the Year” in 1999 in recognition of his achievements and contribution to the accountancy profession and the community.
Since 2007, he has been Chairman of the Accountancy Training Board of the VTC, overseeing the alignment of the industry’s manpower supply and training with its evolving needs. Mr Liu is also Member of the Audit Committee of the VTC and Member of the Appeal Board under the Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications Ordinance.
Mr Liu plays a significant role in helping the development of social services in the community. He is currently Chairperson of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, Chairman of the Canadian International School of Hong Kong, Member of the Social Work Committee of Caritas, among others. Previously he served as an elected Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Administrative Appeals Board of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
