Major Duties: |
(a) |
To organise, manage and provide secretarial support to Languages Module Board (LMB) and Languages Module Board of Examiners (LMBoE), as well as various meetings and committees of the Institutes, including to assist in preparing meeting documents, presentation materials, reports, etc.; |
(b) |
To coordinate with external examiners on class visits, examination arrangement, examination reports, statistical reports, and other related matters; |
(c) |
To study, plan and coordinate with related departments and units on system modification and enhancement for statistical analysis automation and report generation of students’ performance to ensure alignment with systems and requirements of Languages Discipline; |
(d) |
To act as the coordinator of the language modules on Moodle Platform and to provide administrative support in the integration of e-assessments into Moodle Platform; |
(e) |
To assist in planning, organising and promoting out-of-class language activities to students; |

(f) |
To assist in the preparation and compilation of various academic reports, progress update reports, self-assessment reports, statistics, and to perform data analysis; |
(g) |
To provide administrative support in various projects and initiatives of Languages Section of the Institutes, including but not limited to provide assistance in student support counter and preparation work for setup of Language Centre; |
(h) |
To assist in the formulation, implementation and review of operational policies, systems and procedures of Languages Section of the Institutes; and |
(i) |
To assist in administrative tasks related to office administration, finance and procurement of Languages Section of the Institutes. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree or equivalent; |
(b) |
At least 2 years' post-qualification work experience, preferably in educational institutions or hospitality field; |
(c) |
Preferably with substantial experience in programme administration in tertiary educational institutions; |
(d) |
Good communication, interpersonal, organisation and administrative skills; |
(e) |
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese, preferably with knowledge of Putonghua; |
(f) |
Ability to work independently and under pressure; and |
(g) |
Preferably with good IT knowledge and skills. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in both English and Chinese. |

The work location is Pokfulam. |
(5) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
