Whole Person Development: Physical Education |

Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties in Physical Education modules in Structured Whole Person Development (SWPD) Programme; |
(b) |
To develop and review the curriculum and teaching materials including syllabuses, learning and teaching packages, and assessment tools; |
(c) |
To act as Module Co-ordinator of SWPD Programme; |
(d) |
To perform student development, academic and administrative related duties; |
(e) |
To assist in organising campus / discipline / VTC wide sports activities, student projects or related extra-curricular activities; |
(f) |
To promote and organise student development programmes, extra-curricular sports and recreational activities; and |
(g) |
To contribute to the development and implementation of quality policies of the operational unit. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognized degree in Physical Education / Sports / Sports Science or a relevant discipline, or professional qualifications; |
(b) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure. |
(c) |
Preferable to teach 2 sports; |
(d) |
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; |
(e) |
Community networking / linkage with professional bodies is an advantage; and |
(f) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English. |
(2) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus. |
(3) |
The appointee is subject to posting in different sites to suit the Council’s operational needs. |
(4) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
(5) |
Applicants should state clearly which sport(s) they have taught / coached in the application. |
