Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To assist in the coordination among various parties, the recruitment and coaching of competitors for the WorldSkills competition and other related competitions in the skill area of Digital Construction in which Building Information Modelling (BIM) skill is essential; |
(d) |
To provide advice and support for professional skills related to BIM; |
(e) |
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(f) |
To participate in departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and |
(g) |
To oversee operation of projects assigned by the Head of Operation Unit and the Engineering Discipline. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Civil Engineering / Building Studies / Surveying / Architectural Studies / Architectural Design and Technology / Building Services Engineering / Environmental Engineering or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
Well-versed in one or more of the specific skills: Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), AutoCAD; |
(c) |
Possession of relevant teaching/ work experience/ expertise in WorldSkills Competition (Contestants or Experts are preferred) and teaching experience in BIM would be an advantage; and |
(d) |
Good communication, presentation and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment. |

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
