Major Duties: |
(a) |
To set up, support, maintain and troubleshoot IT and AV equipment which include but not limited to personal computers (PCs & Mac), mobile devices, servers and networking equipment for campus network and WiFi network; |
(b) |
To set up, manage and evaluate software / applications / operating system (OS) for PCs, Macs, mobile devices, and servers, including Linux and virtualisation platforms; |
(c) |
To provide support on data centre management, operations and monitoring, as well as provide IT and multimedia related technical support for staff and students; |
(d) |
To compile system reports, update operation documents and guidelines, assist in preparing operation manual of AV or IT services and equipment; |
(e) |
To prepare website and platform development, including the development and maintenance of the campus websites; |
(f) |
To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores, software licenses and consumables; |
(g) |
To take charge of day-to-day system maintenance including equipment and network tests; and |
(h) |
To assist in photo and video taking, graphic design and desktop publishing work, where necessary, in some operational units. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
(i) |
A recognised higher diploma in IT, plus 1 year’s relevant work experience; OR |
|
(ii) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate in IT, plus at least 2 years’ relevant work experience; |
(b) |
Good knowledge of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and networking; |
(c) |
Good knowledge of IT applications, networking, OSs and multimedia design; |
(d) |
Experience in using Windows PC and Mac; |
(e) |
Experience / knowledge / skills in at least one of the following areas will be an advantage: |

(i) |
Installation and administration of Windows, Mac, Linux Server and VM Enterprise Server; |
|
(ii) |
Microsoft and Adobe products, other video and graphic editing tools (such as Final Cut Pro) and other common computer / educational software; |
|
(iii) |
LAN / WAN technology and TCP / IP; |
|
(iv) |
Website development and web programming using languages / software such as Dreamweaver, Flash, RESTful API, AJAX, JavaScript, SQL, .NET, PHP, Java, ASP, HTML and/or CSS; and |
|
(v) |
Computer graphics design and video editing; |
(f) |
Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and |
(g) |
Being creative and self-motivated with good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese. |

(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(2) |
Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
