Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including student assessment, operating and maintaining training facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning; |
(b) |
To conduct class and practical training in the areas of Product and Furniture Design Development / Electronic and Interactive Product Development and Production; |
(c) |
To provide support in programme operations and to prepare teaching and assessment materials; |
(d) |
To assist in the development of module syllabi, teaching and learning packages, new projects and services; and maintaining the standard and quality of the training programmes; |
(e) |
To perform duties in relation to student administration including student admission and records, job placement, training related records and other student activities; |
(f) |
To maintain and enhance networks with the industry and related associations; |
(g) |
To organise visit and activities for students; |
(h) |
To prepare estimates of equipment and consumable materials; and |
(i) |
To implement quality assurance policies. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised higher diploma in a related discipline, or equivalent; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry; |
(c) |
Good knowledge in prototype Workshop operation and proficient in 3D software SolidWorks; |
(d) |
Preferably with sound technical knowledge / skills in other 3D software such as Rhino 3D, and Fusion 360 etc; |
(e) |
Candidates with track records of linkage with industry / professional bodies / skills in the following areas would be an advantage: |

(i) |
Product / Furniture Design and developments; and |
|
(ii) |
Product Engineering, Manufacturing and Production; |
(f) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and |
(g) |
The ability to pass a trade test. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the General Requirement (a) above but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification. |
(2) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
