The Council is looking for suitable candidates with right calibre and experience for the following positions:

Post 1 - Assistant Executive Director (AED)
Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform the role of Academic Director of Business Discipline to plan and steer the strategic development for the provision of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) programmes and services under the Discipline; |
(b) |
To enhance students' learning opportunities, articulation pathway and job placement, and to strengthen the professional qualifications and recognition of the programme awards; |
(c) |
To develop, steer and implement strategies for networking and maintain linkages with industries and other stakeholders in Hong Kong, the Mainland particularly the Greater Bay Area and overseas countries; |
(d) |
To lead and oversee the campus overall operations, including programmes planning, exhibitions and events, resources utilization, support to students' learning and career development, staff developments, etc.; |
(e) |
To formulate, implement and review strategies and plans to promote the offering programmes / services and brand name of the campuses; |
(f) |
To take a key role in fostering and developing effective and supportive relationships with external stakeholders including local community; and |
(g) |
To assist in formulating Council's strategic initiatives and annual plans of programmes and activities. |
Post 2 - Head of Department (HoD)
Major Duties: |
(a) |
To serve as Deputy Academic Director to assist the Academic Director in providing strong academic leadership for the development, validation and accreditation of programmes, as well as overseeing their academic quality and leading curriculum review and enhancement of Business programmes / modules; |
(b) |
To play a leading role in exploring new opportunities and assisting the Academic Director in formulating and implementing strategic initiatives for the development of the Discipline; |
(c) |
To assist Campus Principal in the management, planning and development of the Campus and the Department; |
(d) |
To plan, manage, monitor and control the provision and utilisation of staff and other resources of the Discipline; |
(e) |
To act as Chairperson of Programme Boards, Module Board, Boards of Examiners and other academic / management committees and work groups as required; |
(f) |
To establish linkages with both internal and external stakeholders; and |
(g) |
To assist the Academic Director in overseeing projects at both the Discipline and Council levels. |

Requirements:
For both AED and HoD posts, the suitable candidate should possess: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in a relevant discipline and a post-graduate qualification; preferably with relevant professional qualifications; |
(b) |
At least 12 years' relevant experience, with substantial managerial experience at a senior level and preferably with proven experience in VPET; |
(c) |
Demonstrated sound knowledge and visionary leadership in VPET development; |
(d) |
Ability to build rapport with trade, industry as well as professional bodies; |
(e) |
Proven experience in project management and professional services with the industry and professional bodies; |
(f) |
Strong sensitivity to economic trends and business environment and ability to initiate and manage changes; and |
(g) |
Good management, entrepreneurial, interpersonal and communication skills with strong language proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua. |

1. |
Candidates with stronger profiles, such as managerial experience at a senior level for longer years, wider and broader job exposure and experience, will be considered for the senior post at AED rank. |
