Major Duties: |
(a) |
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(b) |
To assist in the production of electronic learning and teaching materials; |
(c) |
To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(d) |
To undertake committee work in various committees, boards and meetings; |
(e) |
To participate and provide support to disciplinary and VTC projects and events, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, student and staff exchange activities, seminars and exhibitions; |
(f) |
To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
(i) |
A recognised degree, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; in English Language / English Language and Literature / Language Studies (English) / Linguistics / Education (English) / English Communication / Translation (English); OR |
|
(ii) |
A recognised degree in a non-relevant field; AND a relevant English teaching qualification, such as Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Education (major in English), Teaching English as a Second Language or Teaching English as a Foreign Language or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL and English-teaching certification recognised by TESL Canada) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP). A transcript with course details including the number of hours of instruction and practicum should be provided for consideration. |
(b) |
Good digital skills, as well as good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(c) |
Proactive, attentive to details, able to work independently and be a good team player; and |
(d) |
Preferably with relevant teaching experience and/or industry experience |

(1) |
The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic /professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written test in English. |
(4) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside office. |
(5) |
The tentative working period will be from April to August 2025. |
