The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. The programmes integrate practical applications with theoretical knowledge to ensure that students can effectively apply what they have learned. Our degree programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, as well as by the relevant professional bodies where appropriate. Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To provide central support to and coordinate with various stakeholders, both internal and external, on matters relating to the learning programme development, internal validation, accreditation (LPA), re-LPA, programme area accreditation and institutional review by accreditation authorities and professional bodies; |
|
(b) |
To provide secretarial or membership support to quality assurance (QA)-related boards/committees; |
|
(c) |
To support and coordinate with the academic departments and administrative units in effective implementation of quality management measures/training for their learning programmes and operation; |
|
(d) |
To lead/assist in developing, reviewing and implementing corporate policies in relation to quality assurance and enhancement matters of the Institute; and |
|
(e) |
To lead/assist in the daily operations of the Office and ensure effective management of resources of the Office. |

|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree, preferably a higher degree, in a relevant discipline or relevant professional qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 7 years (for the post of Manager) or 5 years (for the post of Senior Officer) of relevant experiences as stated in (c) at an appropriate level of responsibility; |
|
(c) |
Solid experience in learning programme design and development, implementation of quality assurance/ enhancement policies, learning programme accreditation, programme area accreditation, institutional review, student admission, assessment and reporting or the work areas relevant to the post; |
|
(d) |
Proven records of professional development and linkages with the industry; |
|
(e) |
A strong commitment to fostering a quality culture and facilitating quality assurance/enhancement; |
|
(f) |
A good understanding on the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework and the recent development in accreditation standards and local accreditation authorities; |
|
(g) |
Experience in liaising and negotiating with officials from accreditation authorities, professional bodies and/or academic/administrative personnel from collaborating institutions on accreditation matters; |
|
(h) |
Good administrative, interpersonal, communication and team building skills; |
|
(i) |
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines; and |
|
(j) |
Good presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Senior Officer. |
|
(2) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside of Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. |
|
(3) |
The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
|
(4) |
The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus. |
