Major Duties : |
(a) |
To assist the Project Manager to inspect and supervise contractors in new capital works, alterations, additions and improvement (AA&I) projects including providing technical support in procurement, delivery and installation of furniture and equipment; |
(b) |
To report on the works progress and performance; |
(c) |
To assist in the formulation of schedules and programmes for construction and various trades of civil and structural works including installation of audio and visual (AV) equipment, preparation and compilation of tenders and annual budget; |
(d) |
To undertake investigation of civil and structural works and make recommendations for improvement; |
(e) |
To prepare sketches, layouts and cost estimates for AA&I projects and coordinate with other disciplines; |
(f) |
To arrange and conduct specific investigation and surveys into environmental measures; |
(g) |
To check and verify on-site materials and its proper deployment; |
(h) |
To monitor on-site safety standard being properly observed; and |
(i) |
To liaise and collaborate with different stakeholders on matters relating to the execution or scheduling of works. |

Requirements : |
(a) |
A recognised higher diploma in civil or structural engineering or equivalent; preferably with a recognised degree in relevant field; |
(b) |
At least 5 years’ relevant experience in supervision of building and / or civil contractors; |
(c) |
Good knowledge in civil and / or structural works and preferably in other disciplines relating to the construction industry; |
(d) |
Preferably with work experience in handling both new capital works and term maintenance contracts; |
(e) |
Proficiency in English and Chinese; and |
(f) |
Good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills. |
