Major Duties: |
(a) |
To plan and support the development of new programmes in food and beverage service and to review and enhance the existing programmes to match with the appropriate standards of the accreditation bodies; |
(b) |
To plan, organise and conduct classes and practical training in food and beverage service and compile training related records and statistics; |
(c) |
To oversee the operations of the training restaurants and food and beverage service at The T Hotel; coordinate special training events / functions which form part of the Integrated Learning Experience of the training programmes; |
(d) |
To support the administration for programme affairs, time tabling systems and programme board documentation, student recruitment of training programmes; |
(e) |
To manage the day-to-day operations as well as staff and resources of the section and to assist in preparing financial estimates; |
(f) |
To oversee the procurement, maintenance and commissioning of plant and equipment; and |
(g) |
To foster close ties with employers and related associations, and to obtain feedback on the relevance of the training programmes. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in the discipline of Hotel Management or Catering / Event Management, or equivalent; and |
(b) |
At least 3 years' relevant work experience, preferably in hotel, catering, wine & beverage industry; |
(c) |
Preferably with memberships of professional bodies such as Institute of Hospitality, Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) and American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI); |
(d)
|
Preferably with qualifications of Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and qualifications of Certified Trainer/Educator of Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), or equivalent; |
(e) |
Good supervisory, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, and good administrative and leadership abilities; |
(f) |
Good language proficiency in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
(g) |
Good knowledge of POS, like Oracle, Micros or Infrasys; and proficiency in common computer software applications; and |
(h) |
The ability to pass a trade test. |

(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(2) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
(3) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
(4) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
