    Officer (Advancement Services)
    Institutional Advancement Office

    The Institutional Advancement Office is established to build and strengthen VTC’s relationships with employers, industries, trade associations, philanthropists, charitable foundations, alumni and other stakeholders with a key role to foster collaborations with and solicit financial and in-kind support for student development and institutional advancement of the VTC.
     
    Major Duties:
    (a) To plan and implement fundraising campaigns / crowd-funding initiatives to explore new donors and to engage existing donors from industries, charitable foundations and philanthropists;
    (b) To draft tailored donation proposals and agreements that align with donors’ philanthropic objectives and adhere to VTC’s policies and guidelines;
    (c) To implement donation projects according to the donation agreements, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure prudent execution and / or seamless integration into Council activities;
    (d) To assist in collecting and analysing data from donation projects to prepare impact reports on implementation and outcomes for recipients, as well as compile financial summaries;
    (e) To support digital content marketing, collateral communication, and publicity efforts, including creating social media content, updating webpages, and producing promotional materials;
    (f) To draft speeches, presentations and official correspondences in both English and Chinese; and
    (g) To support digitalisation initiatives by designing online forms, developing chatbots and optimising workflow.
     
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised degree with at least 2 years’ relevant experience;
    (b) Relevant work experience in digital content marketing, donation solicitation / fundraising activities and the implementation of donation projects / scholarship schemes;
    (c) A solid proficiency in both written and spoken language proficiency in English and Chinese, coupled with strong command of business-level Putonghua communication skills;
    (d) Strong people skills to build connections and strengthen stakeholder engagement;
    (e) Proficiency in MS Office applications, including SharePoint, and multimedia editing software such as Canva / Clipchamp;
    (f) Good communication and presentation skills, including impact reporting with quantitative and qualitative data presentation;
    (g) Proactive, adaptable to a multifaceted work environment, with a strong sense of responsibility and ability to handle multiple tasks independently; and
    (h) Experience with Student Records System, MyPortal and AI tools will be an advantage.
       
    Notes:
    (1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in both English and Chinese.
    (3) The appointee may be required to work on shift / outside normal office hours.
