Aiming to build a conducive language environment to help students acquire the necessary language skills for study and work, the Project Coordinators Programme, run by the Languages Discipline of VTC, plays an important role in developing students’ communication skills and enhancing their confidence in language learning. To provide authentic opportunities for students to use English outside the classroom, native English speakers are engaged as ’Project Coordinators’ (PCs) who play a supporting yet valuable role in planning and organising various co-curricular and extra-curricular English activities for VTC students. |

Major Duties : |
|
(a) |
To plan, design, coordinate and conduct various immersive language activities on campus, including but not limited to language and communication workshops, outreach language activities, festive events, etc. for VTC students ranging from teenagers to young adults; |
|
(b) |
To assist in English language class activities, in particular during speaking module classes, and provide individualised coaching; |
|
(c) |
To reach out to students and conduct chats on campus to provide opportunities for students to interact in English in casual and social contexts and provide language support; and |
|
(d) |
To support various initiatives undertaken by the Languages Discipline and assist in campus, discipline and VTC events and functions. |

Requirements : |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree; |
|
(b) |
Possess the competence of a native-speaker or be a native-speaker of English (English being the native language); |
|
(c) |
Preferably with relevant experience in organising student activities; |
|
(d) |
Good communication and presentation skills in English; |
|
(e) |
Proficient in computer and IT skills (e.g. MS Office, Canva) for creating activity and promotional materials; |
|
(f) |
Strong interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills; |
|
(g) |
Proactive and attentive to detail; |
|
(h) |
Ability to work independently; and |
|
(i) |
Adaptability and patience when working with students of diverse needs and backgrounds. |

The post is in the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |

(2) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written test in English. |
|
(3) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / or outside the office. |
|
(4) |
The appointee will be allocated to the Language Centres of VTC campuses and will work at more than one site. |

(5) |
The appointment period will be from late August 2026 to late June 2027. |
