    Part-time (Evening) Lecturer [Academic Year 2026/27]
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi)

    Applications are now invited for part-time lecturer posts for the part-time evening courses at Higher Diploma Programmes offered by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi) of the Vocational Training Council in the academic year 2026/27 which will commence in September 2026.
     
    Subject Areas:
    - Computer Aid Drafting (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM)
    - Fluid Mechanics
    - Construction Drawing and Structural Detailing
    - Construction Technology and Building Materials
    - Contract Administration
    - Engineering Science and Mathematics
    - Highway Engineering
    - Land Surveying
    - Structural Analysis and Design
    - Soil and Geotechnical Engineering
    - Temporary Works
    - Water and Environmental Engineering
     
    Major Duties:
    (a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; and
    (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
    (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;
    (c) Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; and
    (d) Good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.
       
    Notes:
    (1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.

    Closing date for application: 11 June 2025
     
    Applicants not invited for interview within 10 weeks from the closing date may consider their applications unsuccessful.
