Term/Temporary/Part-time(Day-time) Assistant Lecturer (Image Design)

Subject Areas:
(i)	Hairstyling for Image Design
(ii)	Make-up for Image Design
(iii)	Costume / Fashion Image Design

Major Duties:
(a)	To perform teaching duties including student assessment, operating and maintaining training facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning;
(b)	To assist and provide academic support to programme development, learning support to student projects, and to perform teaching duties;
(c)	To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
(d)	To perform duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(e)	To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and
(f)	To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to community projects, consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:
(a)	A recognized degree in Hair and Make-up, Art, Fashion or relevant field, or equivalent qualifications, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b)	Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese;
(c)	Relevant experience in the fashion / creative industry or shows / concerts would be an advantage;
(d)	A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure; and
(e)	Good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies will be an advantage.

Notes:
(1)	The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”.
(2)	Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(3)	Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.
(4)	The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / or outside campus.
(5)	In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
