Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To provide circulation and information counter services; |
|
(b) |
To perform book shelving, shelf-reading, and book removal if necessary; |
|
(c) |
To assist users with the effective use of library applications and electronic resources; |
|
(d) |
To assist in library multimedia production, such as photography, video production and web development; |
|
(e) |
To provide support for library activities, as well as special projects, events and exhibitions; and |
|
(f) |
To perform any other duties as assigned. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Multimedia Technology, Electronic Engineering or relevant disciplines; |
|
(b) |
At least 2 years’ relevant work experience; |
|
(c) |
Good computer knowledge and experience in using academic library systems and generative AI platforms such as Copilot, ChatGPT are preferred; |
|
(d) |
Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(e) |
Detail-minded, able to work independently and be a good team player; and |
|
(f) |
Pleasant personality, good work initiative and customer oriented. |

(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(2) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / work on shift duty. |
