Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of the programmes; and |
|
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Music, Music Production & Engineering, Songwriting, Sound Design, Theatrical Arts, Entertainment Technology, or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and / or industry experience, preferably at an appropriate level of responsibility; |
|
(c) |
Solid experience in pop song production. Proficiency with pop song arrangement, composition skills in different music genres, and good at operating different digital audio workstations (DAWs). Expertise in pop song multi-track recording and mixing. A pop song production portfolio is required; |
|
(d) |
Good teaching, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills; |
|
(e) |
Good communication and presentation skill in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and |
|
(f) |
Proven records of linkage with industry / professional bodies would be an advantage. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(3) |
Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and / or at different work locations on a need basis. |
