Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties in fitness and sport-related modules, including but not limited to the areas of volleyball, basketball, athletics (throwing event), badminton, rope jump, swimming, football, newly emerged sports, fitness and functional fitness; |
|
(b) |
To supervise students’ projects and fieldwork placements; |
|
(c) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(d) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(e) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
|
(f) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, campus projects, events and functions, including but not limited to open days, consultancy services, research studies, seminars, exhibitions and competitions. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Physical Education / Sports / Sports Science or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification or a professional qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and / or industry experience; |
|
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(d) |
Strong commitment to serve the youth and with experience in managing less academically-inclined students; and |
|
(e) |
Good record of linkage with industry or professional bodies in sports field. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with less relevant experience and / or qualification may be considered for the post of Part-time (Daytime) Assistant Lecturer, at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(3) |
Shortlisted applicants will be required to take a written assessment in English. |
|
(4) |
The work location will be Youth College (Tuen Mun) and Youth College (Yeo Chei Man). |
|
(5) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / or outside campus. |
|
(6) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
