    Part-time Evening Laboratory Technician (Academic Year 2024/25)

    Major Duties:
    (a) To provide technical support to teaching activities as well as special projects and events;
    (b) To assist lecturers in the demonstration, practical classes, and projects;
    (c) To be responsible for the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of equipment / apparatus;
    (d) To set up and prepare the laboratory/practical training sessions;
    (e) To assist in updating of laboratory exercise instruction sheets;
    (f) To provide guidance and supporting services to students in the laboratories / workshops / practical training rooms;
    (g) To keep stores and inventory; and
    (h) To keep the operating areas clean and tidy.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A relevant recognised diploma or higher certificate in the relevant discipline, plus at least 2 years of relevant work experience;
    (b) Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and
    (c) Good interpersonal and communication skills and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese.
         
    Notes:
    (1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic/professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic/professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a trade test.
