The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers more than 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. The programmes integrate practical applications with theoretical knowledge to ensure that students can effectively apply what they have learned. Major Duties: |
The appointee shall report to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project and is expected to assist the PI in the development and co-ordination of research activities and daily operations in relations to the research projects. |

He/she will be required to assist in design, implementation and commissioning of IoT solution to construction site, coordinate R&D activities with local institutions, and write project proposals. |

Requirements: |
For the post of Research Assistant I, applicants should have a recognised Master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Building Services / Civil Engineering, or relevant disciplines, or a recognised degree in related disciplines with relevant work experience, or equivalent. |

For the post of Research Assistant II, applicants should have a sub-degree, preferably a recognised degree, in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Building Services / Civil Engineering, or relevant disciplines. |
|
He/she should have good command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua. Preference will be given to candidates who have 2 years of work experience in project coordination and/or customers technical support and / or system implementation. Experience in construction industry will be a plus. |

The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. |

The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
