Major Duties: |
(a) |
To support the Chief Apprenticeship Officer and lead a team of staff in discharging full spectrum of the functions of Office of the Director of Apprenticeship (ODA); |
(b) |
To formulate in-house operational practices, policies and guidelines in related to apprenticeship training, including the review of quality workflow of services, digitalisation of operations, etc.; |
(c) |
To assist in developing new trades and reviewing the current apprenticeship training, including the development of training programmes and work-based assessment elements with reference to industry standards and a close alignment of Diploma and Higher Diploma programmes; |
(d) |
To mentor and coach apprentices regarding their training and career development; |
(e) |
To conduct and handle complaint investigation and dispute conciliation; |
(f) |
To facilitate employers in implementing trade-specific training programme for apprentices; |
(g) |
To plan, organise and execute outreaching activities for apprenticeship promotion and recruitment; and |
(h) |
To develop and maintain collaborative relationship with stakeholders. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years relevant work experience in VPET; |
(c) |
Good experience in apprenticeship training provision; |
(d) |
Good knowledge of the Apprenticeship Ordinance and various apprenticeship training schemes is preferable; |
(e) |
Strong ability to organise and perform multiple tasks even when working under tight deadlines; |
(f) |
Attentive to details, working independently and as a good team player; and |
(g) |
Good connection with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage. |
