Major Duties: |
(a) |
To provide counseling and guidance services to local and non-Chinese speaking students, including counseling on further studies & career development, and assistance in fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To deliver interpersonal skills training and structured Whole Person Development modules; |
(c) |
To organize students and office activities and functions, including extra-curriculum activities and volunteer services; and |
(d) |
To carry out duties in relation to student & academic administration. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognized degree in Social Work or relevant discipline, preferably with post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
Registration under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance Chapter 505 as social worker; |
(c) |
At least 3 years’ relevant experience in personal/career counseling, administration of student services and youth work; |
(d) |
Good presentation & interpersonal skills and proficiency in English and Chinese; |
(e) |
Ability to work independently and pressure; |
(f) |
Be a good team player and able to work collaboratively with teammates; |
(g) |
Good understanding of the learning needs of Non-engaged Youth (NEY); |
(h) |
Having passion and skills to teach the NEY; and |
(i) |
Relevant experience in working with NEY and strong community networking is an advantage. |

Notes: |
(1) |
The post is in the rank of “Student Affairs Officer”. |
(2) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties in relation to student service work outside normal office hours. |
(3) |
The appointee will work at Ma On Shan Campus but may be posted to Tuen Mun, Tin Shui Wai and other designated sites to suit the operational needs. |
(4) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
