Major Duties : |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including teaching relevant Engineering modules, Construction Technology and Management, 3D Printing, UAV teaching activities; |
(b) |
To supervise student projects and fieldwork placement; |
(c) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(d) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(e) |
To participate in campus projects and functions, including STEM related activities / competitions, digitalisation, consultancy services, seminars and exhibitions, where necessary; |
(f) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(g) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements : |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Building Technology, & Management / Surveying / Civil Engineering / Construction or related field, or professional qualification, preferably with post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years' relevant teaching and / or industry experience; |
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(d) |
Strong commitment to serve the youth and less academically-inclined students; and |
(e) |
Experience in the design of teaching and learning packages, and good record of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage. |

Notes : |
(1) |
The post is at the rank of “Lecturer”. Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for the post of "Assistant Lecturer" at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
