Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer

Applications are now invited for Part-time Lecturer posts for the daytime courses at Higher Diploma Programmes offered by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi) of the Vocational Training Council.

(II)		Automotive Engineering
		-	Automotive Performance Technology
		-	Automotive Technology IIB
		-	Automotive Business Management
		-	Fundamentals of Automotive Insurance
(III)		Computer and Data Engineering
		-	Visualization for Data Analytics
		-	Big Data and Cloud Computing
		-	Internet-of-Things Cybersecurity
(IV)		Electrical Engineering
		-	Electrical Installation
		-	Electrical Power Systems
		-	Electrical Machines and Drives
(V)		Mechanical Engineering
		-	Thermodynamics & Heat Transfer
		-	Fluid Mechanics
		-	Marine Engineering Knowledge
		-	Engineering Materials

Major Duties:
(a)		To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects;
(b)		To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c)		To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and
(d)		To assist in admission promotion activities.

Requirements:
(a)		A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b)		At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;
(c)		Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; and
(d)		Good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.

Notes:
(1)	Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.
(2)	The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.

Applicants not invited for interview within 10 weeks from the closing date may consider their applications unsuccessful.
