Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To conduct classes and practical training in the relevant stream; |
|
(b) |
To prepare and update training materials and assist in development of programmes curriculum; |
|
(c) |
To perform duties related to the effective running of training programmes; |
|
(d) |
To maintain and update department records and training related records; |
|
(e) |
To assist in the supervision, recruitment and placement of trainees; |
|
(f) |
To assist in planning, commission, installation and routine maintenance of equipment / facilities of the section; and |
|
(g) |
To liaise with counterparts in the industry and other training institutions. |
|

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised higher diploma in Food Preparation related discipline; preferably with a relevant recognised degree; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant work or teaching experience in Indian Cuisine in hotel / catering industry; |
|
(c) |
Good knowledge in South East Asia Cuisines specially in Indian Cuisines as well as an understanding of halal preparation would be an advantage; |
|
(d) |
Preferably with a Hygiene Manager Certificate or equivalent; |
|
(e) |
Good communication and presentation skills in English; preferably with knowledge of Chinese language (Cantonese and / or Putonghua); |
|
(f) |
Good knowledge of basic computer applications; and |
|
(g) |
Ability to pass a trade test. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirements (a) above but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(3) |
Work locations include Pokfulam, Kowloon Bay and Tin Shui Wai. |
|
(4) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
|
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
