|
Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To assist in overseeing student and academic related administration duties; |
|
(b) |
To act as Programme / Module Leader and serve in Board of Examiners and other academic / management committees and working groups; |
|
(c) |
To assist in leading and coordinating programme team(s) to develop and review programme curriculum, support programme validation and accreditation, and develop learning and teaching materials; |
|
(d) |
To perform teaching duties and supervise students’ projects, exchange trips and fieldwork placements; |
|
(e) |
To monitor and manage the updates of installation, operation, and maintenance of training facilities and equipment; |
|
(f) |
To develop and maintain networks with the industry and related associations; |
|
(g) |
To report and monitor the implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures; |
|
(h) |
To plan, organise and implement learning and teaching strategies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Design Education, Work-integrated Learning (WIL), Project-based Learning (PBL) and Workplace Learning and Assessment (WLA) in the Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) programmes; and |
|
(i) |
To coordinate events and organise skills competitions. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised higher diploma in Printing / Visual Graphic Design / Advertising and Branding Design, or equivalent; |
|
(b) |
At least 9 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry; |
|
(c) |
Proficient with knowledge and hands-on experience in printing technology and standardisation (including digital printing), AI in visual design, branding and packaging, IP character design and licensing, and / or multimedia production; |
|
(d) |
Good linkage with creative industries or professional bodies would be an advantage; |
|
(e) |
Experience in organising events, exhibition, design projects and promotional campaigns would be an advantage; |
|
(f) |
Good supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills, and good administrative and leadership abilities; |
|
(g) |
Good language proficiency in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and |
|
(h) |
The ability to pass a trade test. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirement (a) but possessing 16 years’ experience in the relevant industry and / or teaching may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification. |
|
(2) |
Candidates with less work experience rank may be considered the post of the Senior Instructor (SI). |
|
(3) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(4) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
|
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
