|
Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To conduct classes and practical training in food and beverage service; |
|
(b) |
To assist in curriculum development; |
|
(c) |
To provide support in the day-to-day operation of the training restaurants and food and beverage service at The T Hotel; |
|
(d) |
To perform duties related to the effective running of training programmes; |
|
(e) |
To assist with the training of potential competitors for the WorldSkills Competition – Restaurant Service trade; |
|
(f) |
To assist in organising the roster of local and overseas training and competitions for potential WorldSkills competitors; |
|
(g) |
To maintain department and training related records; |
|
(h) |
To provide stewarding services and support; |
|
(i) |
To assist in the supervision, recruitment and placement of students; and |
|
(j) |
To assist in the routine maintenance of equipment/facilities of the section. |

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised higher diploma in Hotel and / or Catering Management, or equivalent; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant experience work or teaching experience in hotel / catering industry; |
|
(c) |
Good knowledge of trade specific terminologies; |
|
(d) |
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese, knowledge of Putonghua is preferable; |
|
(e) |
Good knowledge of Point of Sale (POS), Table Management System (TMS) and related computer applications; and |
|
(f) |
Applicants who have the following qualifications, knowledge and / or experience would have added advantages: |
|
|
(i) |
a relevant recognised degree; |
|
|
(ii) |
a membership of relevant professional bodies such as Institute of Hospitality, WSET, SCA, AHLEI etc.; |
|
|
(iii) |
experience at supervisory level in hotel / catering industry; |
|
|
(iv) |
experience in contemporary dining operations in upscale market; and |
|
|
(v) |
experience in local and international skills competitions. |
|
(g) |
Ability to pass a trade test. |

Notes : |
|
(1) |
Candidates without the required academic qualifications stated in (a) above but possessing 8 years’ relevant work or teaching experience may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualification Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification. |
|
(2) |
The appointee will be required to perform duties outside normal office hours, work on a rotational roster that covers evening shifts and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and in designated places as assigned. |
|
(3) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
