Whole Person Development: Physical Education |

|
Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties in Physical Education modules in Structured Whole Person Development Programme; |
|
(b) |
To develop and review the curriculum and teaching materials including syllabuses, learning and teaching packages, and assessment tools; |
|
(c) |
To act as Module Co-ordinator of SWPD Programme; |
|
(d) |
To perform student development, academic and administrative related duties; |
|
(e) |
To assist in organising campus / discipline / VTC wide sports activities, student projects or related extra-curricular activities; |
|
(f) |
To promote and organise student development programmes, extra-curricular sports and recreational activities; and |
|
(g) |
To contribute to the development and implementation of quality policies of the operational unit. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Physical Education / Sports / Sports Science or a relevant discipline, or professional qualifications; |
|
(b) |
Preferably with the ability to coach at least two sports; |
|
(c) |
Applicants having community networking / linkage with professional bodies would be an advantage; |
|
(d) |
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; and |
|
(e) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure. |

(1) |
The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English. |
|
(4) |
Applicants should state clearly which sport(s) they have taught / coached in the application. |
|
(5) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and at different work locations as assigned. |

(6) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
