    Assistant Sustainability Manager
    Corporate Environmental and Sustainable Development Office

    Major Duties:
    (a)
     
    To liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of sustainability initiatives, including carbon reduction strategies;
    (b) To plan, execute, supervise, report and review sustainability initiatives;
    (c) To implement, monitor and evaluate targets and action plans for sustainability initiatives;
    (d)
     
    To support data and information collection, and review of tender and proposals, budgets, progress reports and evaluation / analytic reports for infrastructure, carbon reduction and energy management initiatives;
    (e) To consolidate, analyse, report and evaluate sustainability data to inform continuous enhancement;
    (f)
     
    To identify and secure external funding opportunities, lead respective application processes, and support the implementation, compliance and administration of approved sustainability initiatives; and
    (g)
     
    To provide secretariat support to committees and working groups, and perform other duties as needed to support the sustainable development of the Council.
       
    Requirements:
    (a)
     
    A recognised degree in relevant fields including Engineering, Building Services, Environmental Studies, Sustainability related disciplines or equivalent; 
    (b)
     
    At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in project management and implementation of environmental / green building / sustainability / carbon reduction projects;
    (c) Good analytical mind, communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills;
    (d) Strong initiative, meticulous and a good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure; and
    (e) Applicants with the below qualification(s) would be an advantage:
      (i)
     
    Membership of a relevant professional institution or other equivalent qualification in greenhouse gas accounting and verification, energy management, building decarbonisation, or related fields; and
      (ii)
     
    Demonstrable experience in sizable organisations for implementing sustainability initiatives, carbon audits, energy management opportunities and / or green building assessments.
       
    Notes:
    (1) The post in the rank of Officer. 
    (2)

     
    Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (3) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
    (4) Appointee(s) may be required to perform duties in different locations and / or outside normal office hours.
