Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To provide technical supports to teaching activities and be responsible for laboratory equipment installation / maintenance, and training session preparation; |
|
(b) |
To provide technical support to special projects and events; |
|
(c) |
To assist lecturers during laboratory / practical classes and outdoor field works; |
|
(d) |
To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores, laboratory equipment and power tools; and |
|
(e) |
To assist in implementation of safety measures in laboratories and maintaining the tidiness of the workshops / laboratories. |

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Analytical Science, Arboriculture, Natural Conservation or relevant disciplines; |
|
(b) |
At least 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in the following areas: |
|
|
(i) |
Laboratory operation; |
|
|
(ii) |
Analytical equipment and instrumentation maintenance; |
|
|
(iii) |
Software licenses installation and Windows Setup; or |
|
|
(iv) |
Environmental survey / monitoring / tree work operation. |
|
(c) |
Basic knowledge of IT equipment (Windows PC), audio-visual (AV) trouble-shooting skills, and proficiency in MS Office are preferred; and |
|
(d) |
Good work initiative and be a good team player. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and/or outside normal office hours. |
