Part-time (Evening) Lecturer (Information and Communications Technology)

Major Duties:
(a)	To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement;
(b)	To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c)	To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
(d)	To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and
(e)	To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:
(a)	A relevant recognised degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b)	At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and / or industry experience in the areas as mentioned above;
(c)	Good knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
	(i)		Computer networks - TCP/IP, LAN, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, Firewalls, hands-on experience with hardware (routers, switches), and holder of CCNP / CCNA is highly preferred;
	(ii)		Software engineering concepts, implementation and coding with JAVA, Python, or website backend development;
	(iii)		AI, IoT or big data application development, and / or application development on cloud; and
(d)	Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.

Notes:
(1)		Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(2)		Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment.
