    Marketing Manager (Mainland and International Marketing)

    Major Duties:
    (a) To plan and execute segment-tailored marketing strategies for student recruitment in Mainland and overseas for the Council;
    (b) To support the development and implementation of tailored digital marketing campaigns across social media, search engines, and other relevant digital platforms, to enhance campaign effectiveness;
    (c) To enhance the visibility and market positioning of VTC programmes and VPET in Mainland and overseas through effective advertising, digital outreach, and publicity initiatives;
    (d) To coordinate the design and production of marketing collaterals for non-local markets, ensuring alignment with organisational branding and strategic goals across digital, print, and event materials;
    (e) To liaise with internal units and external parties to execute joint promotional events, partnerships, and student outreach;
    (f) To build and maintain media relations in Mainland and overseas; and  
    (g) To help oversee the daily operations of the marketing unit of the office, including finance and administrative matters.
     
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised degree or equivalent;
    (b) At least 5 years’ relevant marketing experience, ideally within the academic sector, statutory organisations or multinational companies with similar complexity, experience related to Mainland and overseas markets is highly preferred;
    (c) Solid experience in branding, multi-channel marketing coordination, and the production of marketing collaterals;
    (d) Experience in managing digital marketing campaigns, including social media and search engine marketing, coupled with direct experience in Mainland and overseas market outreach and media relations;
    (e) Good networking skills and the ability to establish and maintain strategic working relationships with Mainland and overseas companies, statutory organisations, local government authorities, etc;
    (f) Good understanding of the vision and mission of the VTC and the development of VPET;
    (g) Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, external partners, and media;
    (h) Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
    (i) Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
    (j) Experience in producing video content or digital storytelling is an advantage.
       
    Notes:
    (1) The post is at the rank of “Senior Officer”.
    (2) Applicants are required to highlight their language proficiency (e.g. HKCEE, HKAL, IELTS, CRE, Putonghua Proficiency Test, etc) in their curriculum vitae.
    (3) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and will be required to travel to Mainland with short periods of stay.
