    Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Lecturer (Screenwriting Skills for Television & Film)

    Major Duties:
    (a) To conduct lectures and workshops / tutorials of the assigned module(s) including the preparation of teaching materials, supervision of students’ projects, marking student assessments and other academic activities;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
    (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning assessment materials; and
    (d) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and
    (e) To attend meetings when necessary.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
    (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;
    (c) At least one screenplay adapted into a television programme or film;
    (d) A relevant professional qualification in television or film screenwriting (e.g., being a member of the Hong Kong Screenwriter's Guild (HKSWG)) is an advantage;
    (e) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
    (f) A good team player with a proactive attitude;
    (g) Preferably with knowledge and experience in curriculum and new module development; and
    (h) Candidate(s) with good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies and/or good understanding of VPET education would be an advantage.
         
    Notes:
    (1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (2) Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.
    (3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and outside campus.
    (4) Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available.
