Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties in HKDI or other secondary school campus; |
|
(b) |
To deliver regular lessons, supervision of students’ design projects and field visit within Hong Kong; |
|
(c) |
To develop teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; and |
|
(e) |
To assist the preparation of annual graduation show of the ApL- Cultural and Creative Product Design. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent professional qualifications, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or work experience in the above subject areas; Preferably with relevant working experience in creative and design industries; |
|
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and |
|
(d) |
Records of linkage with design organisation, professional bodies, or teaching experience would be an advantage. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(3) |
Appointee(s) will be required to perform duties mainly Saturdays afternoon or weekday. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
|
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
