The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for part-time (Daytime) Lecturer posts for the programme of BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Fine Art offered at SHAPE (DILWL) in the academic year 2026/27.

Subject Areas:
Graphic Design
-		Typography and editorial design
-		Brand identity and motion graphics design
-		Advertising and digital content creation
-		Artificial intelligence generated content
-		Research analysis and academic writing

Fine Art
-		Ceramics and/or glass
-		Painting and drawing
-		Curatorial and exhibition planning
-		Research analysis and academic writing

Major Duties:
(a)	To conduct lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops and project supervision at the bachelor’s degree level;
(b)	To carry out academic related administration duties, including setting and marking assignments, moderation, serving in academic and other related meetings;
(c)	To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
(d)	To coordinate guest lectures; and
(e)	To participate in school projects and functions, where necessary.

Requirements:
(a)	A recognised master’s degree in relevant discipline and/or equivalent professional qualification in the relevant subject areas;
(b)	At least 4 years’ relevant teaching / work experience in the respective field(s);
(c)	Excellent communication and presentation skills in English;
(d)	Good interpersonal and strong problem-solving skills; and
(e)	Preference will be given to candidates who have teaching experience in tertiary education.

Note:
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

Applicants not invited for interview within 10 weeks from the closing date may consider their applications unsuccessful.
