    Part-time(Day-time) Lecturer (Social Care and Play-based Services)
    Youth College (Tin Shui Wai)

    Major Duties:
    (a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
    (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
    (d) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and
    (e) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.
     
    Requirements:
    (a) A relevant recognized degree in health care, preferably as a registered nurse with working experiences;
    (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience related to health care and elderly care services;  
    (c) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; preferably including Putonghua;
    (d) Strong commitment to serve the youth and with experience in managing less academically-inclined students; and
    (e) Good records of linkage with industry/ professional bodies.
     
    Notes:
    (1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic/ professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic/ professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.
    (3) The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and / or outside campus.
    (4) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
    (5) The appointee is subject to posting to different sites to suit the Council’s operational needs.

    Candidates should take note of the following:
    (1) Completed application form (VTC-1) and detailed curriculum vitae (CV) should be combined into one file in PDF format with a file size below 10MB.
    (2) The file should be saved with applicant’s name as “your surname and given name”, e.g. “CHAN Siu-lam.pdf”.
    (3) For the email subject, please cite “Application for Part-time Lecturer (Social Care and Play-based Services) (Ref. no.: O/YC(TSW)/PTD L/07/26)”.
