Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties, including student assessment, operating and maintaining training facilities and equipment; |
|
(b) |
To assist in providing academic support to programme development, learning support to student projects; |
|
(c) |
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching and learning packages; |
|
(d) |
To perform duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(e) |
To provide academic counselling; |
|
(f) |
To assist in the validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
|
(g) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and productions, including but not limited to events, band shows, performances, consultancy services, workshops, seminars and exhibitions, where necessary. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Music Production / Technology or Theatre and Entertainment Arts or equivalent, preferably with post-graduate qualifications; |
|
(b) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(c) |
Good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies will be an advantage; |
|
(d) |
Relevant experience in the live music and recording studio operation or theatre and entertainment arts industry or shows or concerts would be an advantage; |
|
(e) |
For the subject area of Live Music and Recording Studio Specialist: |
|
|
- |
proficient in DAW such as Avid Pro Tools or Apple Logic Pro, live music setup, equipment preparation and operational support; to manage in-out inventory, maintain the operational health and readiness of audio equipment; |
|
|
- |
preferably with experience in FOH and MON; |
|
(f) |
For the subject area of Light Specialist for Stage / Entertainment: |
|
|
- |
proficient in setting up and operating lighting equipment, including managing power planning for productions. This involves maintaining light fixtures, power supplies, and accessories to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols; |
|
|
- |
preferably with experience in event management; and |
|
(g) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure. |

(1) |
The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and / or in designated places as assigned. |

(5) |
