Term / Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer

Subject Areas:
(i)	Global Business Management
(ii)	Retail and E-Commerce Management

Major Duties:
(a)	To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;
(b)	To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c)	To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
(d)	To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes;
(e)	To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and
(f)	To attend meetings when necessary.

Requirements:
(a)	A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b)	At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;
(c)	Good communication, teaching and presentation skills in both English and Chinese;
(d)	A good team player with a proactive attitude;
(e)	Candidates with sound knowledge in information technology and quantitative analysis would be in advantage;
(f)	Candidates with proven records of linkage with industry or professional bodies and / or good understanding of VPET education would be an advantage;
(g)	Preferably with knowledge and experience in curriculum and new module development;
(h)	For subject area (i): Preferably with solid experience in global business and / or retail merchandising & purchasing and / or supply chain management, and/ or warehousing and inventory management and/ or e-commerce; and
(i)	For subject area (ii): Preferably with solid experience in retail and e-commerce management and/ or familiar with e-commerce practices, live commerce skills, and operations or equivalent.

Notes:
(1)	Candidate(s) with less experience may be considered for the post of “Term / Part-time (Daytime) Assistant Lecturer” at the rank of Teaching Associate.
(2)	Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.
(3)	The appointees may be required to perform duties at different IVE campuses.
