Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Visual Arts, or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience, preferably with international exposure and at an appropriate level of responsibility; |
(c) |
Proficient with knowledge and hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas would be an advantage: |

(i) |
Digital Visualisation (illustration, graphics and AI generative art) |
|
(ii) |
Drawing, painting and digital painting |
|
(iii) |
2D and 3D motion graphic production |
|
(iv) |
Art direction |
(d) |
Good presentation, interpersonal and team building skills; |
(e) |
A high level of proficiency in both English, Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and |
(f) |
Candidates with experience in organising events, exhibition, large-scale projects like mural design or illustrative promotional campaigns and linkage with industry / professional bodies would be an advantage. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for the post of Term Assistant Lecturer, at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. |
(4) |
Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
