Major Duties: |
(a) |
To provide technical support in computer systems and/or services (e.g. Timetabling System, Room Booking System, etc.) on MS Windows and Linux platforms, internet and/or intranet, network and PCs such as installation of software packages, setting up workstation or networking equipment; |
(b) |
To provide IT help-desk service, technical support to both staff and students and campus networks; and |
(c) |
To assist in developing and maintaining intranet and/or internet applications (e.g. Student Survey System) as well as web page development and maintenance (using HTML, ASP, PHP, MS Access and MS SQLDatabase). |

Requirements: |
(a) |
(i) |
A recognised higher diploma in a relevant discipline, plus 1 year’s relevant work experience; OR |
|
(ii) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate in a relevant discipline, plus at least 2 years’ relevant work experience. |
(b) |
Experience in the following areas: |

(i) |
operating and maintaining computer systems and/or services on Windows platforms; |
|
(ii) |
monitoring computer facilities and equipment; |
|
(iii) |
providing PC and internet and/or network support; and |
(c) |
Good communication skills and be a good team player. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

Appointees may be required to work irregular hours or perform shift duties on a need basis. |
