Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching related duties in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Internet-of-Things and Sensor Technology, Object-oriented and Mobile Device Programming, Computer Programming for Microcontroller, Telecommunication and Communication Network, Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, and other engineering subjects. The teaching related duties include conduct of lectures, seminars, tutorials and laboratory work, setting and marking student’s assessments, supervision of student's projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industry attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; and |
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Candidates with less teaching / industry experience may be considered for the post of “Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Assistant Lecturer (Computer and Electronic Engineering)” which is at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
(4) |
The appointee(s) will be remunerated in hourly rate. |
(5) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in other designated places as assigned. |
