Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To assist in the recruitment and coaching of competitors for the WorldSkills Competition and other related competitions in the trade area of Rail Vehicle Technology; |
(d) |
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(e) |
To liaise with industry partners to provide performance assessment in local competitions and training to Competitors; |
(f) |
To coordinate with the Office of WorldSkills Hong Kong in conducting various promotion activities of skills and VPET in secondary schools and relevant organisations; and |
(g) |
To oversee operation of projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions, assigned by the Head of Operational Unit and the Engineering Discipline. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering related disciplines, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
Good communication, presentation and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(c) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure; and |
(d) |
Experience in WorldSkills Competition or in overseas / local competition would be an advantage. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic /professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

The post is time-limited in nature, up to 31 October 2026 initially, and the continued need for the post is subject to review. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend a written assessment. |
(4) |
The work location is in IVE (Tsing Yi). |
(5) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
