Major Duties: |
(a) |
To assist the Academic Director / Head of Department to plan, coordinate, implement and monitor progress of strategic initiatives of the Discipline, including collaborative programmes with non-local institutions, local and non-local student recruitment, development of various programme-related initiatives, holistic programme planning exercise, new campus development matters, resource management and other planning and development activities related to the Discipline; |
(b) |
To take a leading role in the development, validation and accreditation of programmes; |
(c) |
To act as Programme Leader and serve on Programme Boards, Boards of Examiners, and other academic/management committees and work groups as required; |
(d) |
To develop and review quality policies for the discipline/operational unit, and to maintain the standards and quality of the training programmes; |
(e) |
To work closely and cultivate relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external, for the betterment of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) and to establish collaborative projects for the strategic development of the Discipline; |
(f) |
To explore new opportunities and develop new services / programmes for the discipline / operational unit, such as developing consultancy, in-service training programmes and top-up degree programmes; and |
(g) |
To perform teaching duties and supervise student projects as required. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 5 years’ relevant experience at an appropriate level of responsibility or the work area relevant to the post; |
(c) |
Solid experience in programme design, development, implementation of quality assurance policies, assessment and reporting, student admissions, recruiting and supporting non-local students, particularly from Mainland China is highly desirable; |
(d) |
Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor discipline-wide initiatives, experience in programme accreditation and validation would be an advantage; |
(e) |
Good understanding of VPET's future development as well as operating programmes and discipline initiatives; |
(f) |
Good records of professional development and industry linkages, along with demonstrated networking and liaison skills to establish connections and strategic relationships with partners of the discipline and professional bodies in the industry; |
(g) |
Good administrative, interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills, along with a proactive attitude, strong initiative, and the ability to work independently and effectively in teams, even under tight timelines and resource constraints; and |
(h) |
Excellent presentation skills with high proficiency in both English and Chinese, including Putonghua. |
