Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials at different study levels, ranging from Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE), Diploma of Foundation Studies (DFS) and Higher Diploma (HD); |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
|
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or Psychology, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ teaching and/or industry experience related to community services / social care / elderly services at different study levels, preferably with some experience working with Vocational Education (DVE) students; |
|
(c) |
With experience in collaborating across departments to develop interdisciplinary student projects; |
|
(d) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; preferably including Putonghua; and |
|
(e) |
Strong commitment to serve the youth and with experience in managing less academically-inclined students. |

(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(2) |
Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(3) |
The appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
