Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
|
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars, and exhibitions. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree in Music, Theatrical / Entertainment Arts or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience, preferably at an appropriate level of responsibility; |
|
(c) |
Solid experience in vocal performance in pop music, either for stage or studio recording, ear training and pitch development; |
|
(d) |
Good teaching, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills; |
|
(e) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and |
|
(f) |
Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies would be an added advantage. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of "Part-time Assistant Lecturer", at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
