    Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Lecturer
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Kwai Chung)

    Subject Areas:
    i) Chinese Medicine
    ii) Prosthetics & Orthotics
       
    Major Duties:
    (a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
    (c) To develop programme curriculum, teaching materials, assignment / test paper if necessary; and
    (d)
     
    To participate in departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.
     
    Requirements for Chinese Medicine:
    (a)
     
    A relevant recognised degree with a valid licence of a registered Chinese medicine practitioner issued by the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong;
    (b) At least 3 years’ full-time relevant teaching / industry experience;
    (c) Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; and
    (d) Relevant teaching experience in tertiary education would be an advantage.
       
    Requirements for Prosthetics & Orthotics:
    (a) A relevant recognised degree in Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification; 
    (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;
    (c) Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; and
    (d) Relevant teaching experience in tertiary education would be an advantage.
       
    Note:
    Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
