Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; |
|
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and |
|
(f) |
To attend meetings when necessary. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
|
(c) |
Good communication, teaching and presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
|
(d) |
A good team player with a proactive attitude; |
|
(e) |
Preferably with knowledge and experience in curriculum and new module development; |
|
(f) |
Candidate(s) with good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies and/or good understanding of VPET education would be an advantage; and |
|
(g) |
Specific Requirements: |
|
|
(i) |
Relevant experience working in the aviation and/or logistics industries, with a focus on airport operation, airport ramp service, airline planning, air cargo operation, special cargo operation, e-commerce operation, service management, SMART Warehousing, shipping practices and carriage law; and |
|
|
(ii) |
Solid knowledge of industry regulations, safety protocols, and best practices in the respective fields is required. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(3) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
