Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To oversee the supervision of student fashion design projects in providing academic support and advice for developing the knowledge and skills to achieve the highest standard of creative project outcomes; |
|
(b) |
To coordinate and provide regular feedback on design development, material analysis, and garment construction for student collections or product ranges; |
|
(c) |
To stay abreast of global fashion trends, material technologies, and scholarly research to ensure teaching methods employed on the course reflect contemporary industry standards; |
|
(d) |
To deliver teaching and workshops on fashion collection development, 2D / 3D design translation, and professional portfolio; and |
|
(e) |
To undertake independent supervision and assessment of collection development, portfolios, market research, lookbooks, and final physical outfits / products. |

|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised master’s degree in relevant discipline and/or equivalent professional qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 4 years’ relevant teaching and/or work experience in the respective field(s); |
|
(c) |
Proven expertise in advanced fashion research methodologies, creative garment construction, and the transition from 2D concepts to 3D outcomes; |
|
(d) |
A deep understanding of design responsibility and ethical issues within the fashion industry; |
|
(e) |
Experience in setting up a designer label is considered a distinct advantage; and |
|
(f) |
Strong knowledge of industry-standard presentation techniques, including digital portfolios and physical collection curation. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
