Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop and refine programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To act as Module Co-ordinator / Leader of Structured Whole Person Development Programme (SWPD) Programme; |
|
(e) |
To plan, design, organise and evaluate student developmental programmes; |
|
(f) |
To assist in implementing quality assurance policy and validation and accreditation of exercises; |
|
(g) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; |
|
(h) |
To provide support to the boards / committees / working groups, including drafting papers, reports and serving as secretary; and |
|
(i) |
To carry out projects and research studies for the development of the SWPD Programme. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Social Science, Social Work, Liberal Studies, Psychology, or relevant discipline, or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience, preferably with experience in teaching and developing the generic skills modules, leading discipline projects, organising experiential leaning programmes, adventure-based activities and training, student services or youth work; |
|
(c) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure; |
|
(d) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and |
|
(e) |
Well-versed in e-learning. |

|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(3) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus. |
