Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To conduct lectures and workshops / tutorials of the assigned modules(s) including the preparation of teaching materials, marking student assessments and other academic activities; |
|
(b) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(c) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration, including but not limited to develop and implement the admission strategy for the discipline, and ensure the smooth operation of non-local student admission exercise, and supporting matters relating to non-local student admission; |
|
(d) |
To prepare reports and conduct meetings on non-local admission and student affairs, marketing and publicity matters; and |
|
(e) |
To carry out administrative duties for the discipline as assigned by management. |
|

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree or equivalent, or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience, preferably in the field of Banking and Marketing; |
|
(c) |
Good interpersonal, organisation and project management skills; |
|
(d) |
High proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua, proficiency in other languages is also welcome; |
|
(e) |
A good team player with a proactive attitude and able to work independently; |
|
(f) |
Good understanding of the vision and mission of the Council and the future development of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET); and |
|
(g) |
Specific Requirements for Different Subject Areas: |
|
|
(i) |
For Banking: |
|
|
Familiar with accounting in banking such as financial reporting, investment decisions and budgeting; preferable to have knowledge in banking operation and wealth management. |
|
(ii) |
For E-commerce: |
|
|
Relevant knowledge or experience in social media marketing, video productions, logistics and web/data analytics would be an advantage. |
|
|
|
|
|
Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(3) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties in different locations, outsider normal working hours and/or outside campus. |
|
(4) |
Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available. |
